QA Consultant
Summary
A hybrid QA and client-delivery consultant role in St. Louis focused on manual software testing (writing test cases, executing tests, logging defects) plus project coordination, status reporting, and client relationship management. Core skills are manual QA, SDLC/testing methodologies, and consulting-style client communication.
- Create and maintain manual test cases based on business and technical requirements.
- Execute testing activities and log/manage defects in tracking systems.
- Participate in project status meetings and prepare weekly status reports.
- Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and account management.
- Support project discovery sessions, kickoffs, proposals, and Statements of Work (SOWs).
- Assist with project planning, milestone tracking, and client deliverable reviews.
- Help define testing strategies, methodologies, and test plans.
- Deliver presentations and project updates to clients and leadership teams.
- 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Project Coordination, Business Analysis, or a related field.
- Experience developing manual test cases and managing defects.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and software testing methodologies.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and client-facing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be local to the St. Louis area and available for onsite client visits.
- Experience in a consulting or professional services environment.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, UAT, and SOW development.
- Relevant QA, Agile, or Project Management certifications are a plus
The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $45864 to $101,520.
