QA Engineer
Summary
QA Engineer role at Evora performing manual and automated testing across multiple projects, including functional, integration, UAT, and mobile testing. - Analyze customer requirements and prepare test scenarios, test cases, test strategies, and solution validation documents.
- Validate application functionality from an end-user perspective to ensure business requirements are correctly implemented.
- Perform end-to-end functional and non-functional testing across multiple projects.
- Plan, prioritize, and execute testing activities based on project timelines and business criticality.
- Prepare test execution reports, test summary reports, and quality metrics.
- Log, track, and verify defects using JIRA or similar defect management tools.
- Collaborate closely with project leads, business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to improve overall product quality.
- Participate in requirement reviews, design discussions, and release validation activities.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve testing processes, quality standards, and test coverage.
- Quickly adapt to new customer domains and technologies with minimal supervision.
- 3–6 years of experience in software testing, including both manual and automation testing.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand, interpret, and validate business requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability, teamwork, and professional integrity.
- Ability to work under demanding deadlines while managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Quick learner who can work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Hands-on experience in: Functional Testing, Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Performance Testing, Portal/Web Application Testing, Translation/Localization Testing, Usability Testing
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Experience writing comprehensive test cases, test plans, and test strategies based on business requirements.
- Hands-on experience with at least one automation framework/tool such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar.
- Experience in mobile application testing is mandatory.
- Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar test and defect management tools.
- Experience preparing, executing, validating, and documenting test activities.
- Ability to create and maintain representative test data for testing and demonstration environments.
- Working knowledge of Git or other version control systems.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines is an added advantage.
- Experience testing SAP-integrated applications is preferred.
- Knowledge of SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) processes (Notifications, Work Orders, Maintenance Planning) is an added advantage.
- Experience testing interfaces between SAP and non-SAP applications is desirable for specific customer projects.
- Ability to recommend and implement testing best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
