Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated (Senior/Middle) QA Automation Engineer to join our team in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This is a hybrid position and offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in a dynamic and collaborative environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of our software products.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright with TypeScript.
• Design and execute automated and manual test cases for REST APIs, cloud-native applications, and distributed systems.
• Perform exploratory testing to identify functional, integration, and usability issues.
• Design and execute end-to-end test scenarios across microservices, asynchronous workflows, and external system integrations.
• Validate data persistence and business workflows involving Cosmos DB and other cloud data services.
• Develop automated regression suites and integrate them into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze test results, identify root causes, and collaborate with development teams to resolve defects efficiently.

Functional Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional SAFe Agile teams to deliver high-quality software products.
• Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and test strategy discussions.
• Design comprehensive test strategies covering functional, integration, regression, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Validate business workflows across microservices, APIs, Azure Functions, Cosmos DB, and external integrations.
• Perform API testing using Playwright and validate asynchronous processing, event-driven workflows, and eventual consistency.
• Create and maintain reusable test data, automation utilities, and testing documentation.
• Produce data-driven test reports, dashboards, and quality metrics to support release decisions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of automation frameworks, testing processes, and CI/CD quality gates.

Technical Skills

• 3+ years of experience in automation testing.
• Strong experience testing REST APIs, including request/response validation, authentication, contract testing, and error handling.
• Experience testing cloud-native applications deployed on Microsoft Azure.
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Playwright using Typescript
  • Azure DevOps
  • CI/CD Pipelines
  • Cosmos DB with NoSQL
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and event-driven workflows.
• Experience designing reusable automation frameworks
• Experience integrating automated tests into Azure DevOps pipelines and generating test reports.
• Good English communication, both written and verbal.

Things that will separate you from the rest

• Experience testing AI/LLM-based applications (Claude, OpenAI, or similar).
• Experience validating AI chatbot responses using intent-based or semantic validation.
• Experience with Cosmos DB partitioning concepts, consistency models, and performance considerations.
• Experience with performance testing tools such as k6, JMeter, or Azure Load Testing

Education or Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
