QA/SDET engineer based in Bengaluru (on-site) handling both manual and automated testing with a Data/ETL focus: building UI automation in Python/Selenium (plus Appium), validating data with advanced SQL, and managing test execution and defects in JIRA/TestRail, with CI/CD via Maven, Jenkins and AWS.
Role Summary:
We are seeking a Tester/SDET engineer at Offshore with strong Testing and SDET skills and hands-on exposure to Data/ETL Testing, and Test process. The role focuses on SDET and Testing and scaling up in Engineering, Automation and AI areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work as a Testing SME/ SDET Engineer from Offshore
- Support both Manual and Automation testing
- Closely work with the stakeholders to understand business requirements and accordingly create test scenarios, cases and scripts
- Perform Test execution and Defect management activities using JIRA/TestRail
- Responsible for executing tests as defined in the test plan and reporting the status
Must Haves:
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of strong experience in SDET and Testing
- Strong hands-on experience with Data/ ETL Testing, Automation using Selenium and Anaplan.
- Advanced SQL and performance tuning skills
- Hands on experience in developing UI automation script in Python using Selenium/Appium framework.
Good to have:
- Exposure to Airflow or alternative Orchestration tools
- Hands on experience in preparing and updating test automation scripts as per new hardware and software features/functionalities.
- Experience in building or enhancing Automation Framework (Hybrid, Data Driven, Keyword Driven etc.)
- Hands on experience in CI/CD: MAVEN, Jenkins/AWS Pipelines (EC2) based testing
- Experience with Agile/DevOps methodologies
Domain Skills:
- Experience in Retail Domain preferably with Merchandise/ Data/Commerce retail.
Skill set and Certifications:
- Test Management tools like JIRA/TestRail
- SDET concepts, Agile methodologies and Testing Process
- Appium and Selenium WebDriver with Java
- Java, Maven, Jenkins, Automation frameworks like BDD, TestNG, JUnit
- Snowflakes, Apache Airflow experience or expertise (Good to have)
- ISTQB Certification
