QA ENGINEER

Summary

The QA Engineer will design, execute, and maintain automated tests for web, mobile, and API workflows while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The role involves reviewing requirements, managing test data, and utilizing generative AI tools to support testing processes and defect reporting.

  • Work independently while collaborating closely with Product Managers, engineers, designers, operations teams, and senior QA.

  • Take ownership of assigned testing activities, manage priorities, raise blockers early, and complete work within agreed timelines.

  • Communicate testing progress, blockers, quality risks, execution results, and release readiness clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Review product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, designs, and technical solutions to identify gaps, risks, dependencies, and test-data needs.

  • Design, document, maintain, and execute effective test scenarios and test cases across functional, integration, regression, exploratory, and end-to-end workflows.

  • Prepare and maintain test data for different users, configurations, workflow states, and boundary conditions.

  • Retest resolved defects and perform risk-based regression testing across affected areas.

  • Use approved generative AI tools to support requirement analysis, test design, test documentation, defect reporting, API testing, automation assistance, and QA reporting while validating all generated output independently.

  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated tests for web, mobile, and API workflows as a core part of the role.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, curiosity, and the ability to identify edge cases, risks, and potential regression impact.

Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain issues and testing outcomes clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, manage assigned testing activities, raise blockers early, and meet deadlines.

Willingness to learn, accept feedback, investigate issues thoroughly, and continuously improve testing practices.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

2–4 years of hands-on software testing experience. Strong candidates with less experience may be considered based on practical ability.
