QA Frontend Automation Engineer

We are seeking an experienced QA Frontend Automation Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in expanding our frontend automation capabilities. Working closely with our QA Lead, you will help design and implement robust QA processes while further developing our Playwright and Python-based automation framework. You will ensure the quality and reliability of our Angular-based SaaS platform and help shape the future of QA within deltaconX.

Your Goals:
  • Build and enhance our QA practices to support reliable and efficient software delivery.
  • Drive the adoption of manual and automated testing methodologies across our frontend development pipeline.

Responsibilities

  • Hands-on experience with Playwright is required.
  • Experience developing automated tests using Python is strongly preferred, as our automation framework is built using Playwright and Python.
  • Strong experience designing, developing, and maintaining frontend UI automation and end-to-end test suites.
  • Strong understanding of manual testing procedures and test management processes.
  • Experience in performance testing.
  • Experience with automated backend testing (e.g. REST API or integration testing) is considered an advantage but is not the primary focus of this role.
  • ISTQB certification or equivalent experience (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Jira & Confluence.
  • Foundational SQL understanding (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and spoken English. German is considered an advantage.
  • Self-organized, structured, proactive, and curious.
  • Ownership mindset with a drive for delivering high-quality software.
  • Open to adopting and working with modern AI-assisted tools as part of the daily workflow.

Requirements

  • Design, implement, and execute manual test cases for our Angular-based frontend SaaS application.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and continuously improve automated frontend UI and end-to-end test suites using our Playwright and Python-based automation framework.
  • Drive continuous improvements in frontend quality and testing strategy.
  • Support performance testing initiatives
  • Document test results, defects, and processes in Jira & Confluence.
  • Collaborate closely with Frontend Developers, Product Management, UX, and Engineering teams to ensure high-quality feature delivery throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Actively utilize modern AI-assisted tools to improve productivity, test quality, and automation development.

For this position, we offer a gross annual salary starting at EUR 58.000,-, taking into consideration the appropriate classification according to the valid IT collective agreement and the willingness to overpay based on qualifications and professional experience.
