QA/QC Engineer (Façade / Curtain Wall)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer to oversee quality assurance and control for façade works, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Quality Control

• Implement and maintain quality assurance and quality control procedures for façade and curtain wall projects.

• Conduct regular inspections of structural, architectural and façade installation works, including steel, stainless steel, aluminum extrusions, glass and aluminum cladding.

• Ensure all works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, method statements, quality standards and BCA's good industry practices.

• Monitor workmanship, material quality and installation processes to ensure compliance with project requirements.

• Conduct pre-inspections and final inspections to ensure works are completed to the required quality standards.

• Identify quality defects and non-conformances, recommend corrective actions and monitor rectification works.

Quality Documentation & Compliance

• Prepare, implement and maintain Quality Control Plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), QA/QC procedures and inspection checklists.

• Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, test results and relevant project documentation.

• Prepare QA/QC reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective action reports.

• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, industry standards and project quality specifications.

• Support internal and external quality audits, including annual ISO audits.

• Monitor the implementation of corrective and preventive actions to ensure continuous quality improvement.

Site Coordination & Quality Improvement

• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, main contractors, consultants and subcontractors on quality-related matters.

• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure proper installation sequences and adherence to approved method statements.

• Attend quality coordination meetings, inspections and audits with relevant stakeholders.

• Provide technical guidance and conduct quality-related training for site personnel and subcontractor workers when necessary.

• Work closely with project teams to resolve quality issues and prevent recurring defects.

• Support project handover by ensuring all required quality documentation, inspections and rectification works are completed.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Engineering or a related discipline.

• Minimum 3 years of relevant QA/QC experience in the façade or curtain wall industry.

• Strong knowledge of curtain wall systems, aluminum and glass façade systems, and installation methods.

• Familiar with Singapore construction quality standards, BCA requirements and good industry practices.

• Experience in preparing Quality Control Plans, ITPs, inspection reports and QA/QC documentation.

• Knowledge of ISO quality management systems and audit procedures will be advantageous.

• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, technical specifications and method statements.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and MS Project.

• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities and communication skills.

• Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with project teams, consultants and subcontractors.

• Willing to work at various project sites across Singapore.
