Job Summary:

The QA/QC Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily quality control activities throughout PAFCO’s seafood processing operations. This role ensures compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards while supervising QC Technicians and supporting production teams. The position is highly hands-on, requiring a strong presence on the production floor as well as effective documentation, reporting, and administrative skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support QC Technicians and Line Leads to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
  • Implement, enforce and support the development and revision of product specifications, SOPs, SSOPs, flow charts, GMPs, QC forms, and corrective actions.
  • Conduct plant inspections, internal audits, pre-operational inspections, and raw material inspections.
  • Ensure QC documentation, production records, and required paperwork are accurate and completed on time.
  • Support environmental monitoring, sanitation, and food safety programs.
  • Conduct GMP and quality training for employees and newly hired QC Technicians.
  • Perform thermometer calibrations, environmental swabbing, and other required quality checks.
  • Assist with mock recalls, product traceability, and maintaining quality records.
  • Schedule QC coverage and support staffing, performance management, and employee development.
  • Communicate quality issues and corrective actions to the QA Supervisor, Technical Manager, and Production leadership.
  • Serve as a hands-on resource to production and QC teams when addressing quality or food safety concerns.
