Summary
Coordinates and executes QA testing of automotive adhesive tapes — running functional, performance, durability, environmental, thermal, and chemical tests per OEM standards (FORD, GM, CHRYSLER, DELPHI), managing external lab testing, and reporting findings to R&D, production, and quality teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform functional, performance, durability, environmental, thermal, and chemical testing on automotive tapes in accordance to external standards and company requirements
- Develop, document, and execute test plans and protocols for new and existing products
- Interpret and understand external automotive testing standards (e.g., FORD, GM, CHRYSLER, DELPHI)
- Work with external testing labs to get quotes, issue PO’s, and send out samples for testing
- Analyze test data, prepare detailed reports, and communicate findings to cross-functional teams for all internal and external testing
- Maintain all testing in a database for reference
- Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality teams to troubleshoot product issues and improve performance
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in testing methodologies and quality assurance processes
