QC Inspector - Piping and Welding (MRI)
General Characteristics (Job Summary)
- Perform quality activities in accordance with quality management system established.
- Establish inspection and test plans and its record forms as per project requirements and international codes and standards.
- Carry out inspections on discipline responsible to determine whether work performed conforms to quality requirements, and recording its result.
- Ensure inspection status is controlled through efficient tools such as inspection matrix.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Check and verify material/equipment received in good condition.
- Check and the material received is complying to the material request by verifying from related documents.
- Managing and performing inspection of Piping discipline.
- Generate client Requests For Inspection (RFI) where required providing sufficient notice for hold, witness and inspection points.
- Prepare / Review the following Quality procedure documents submitted by the Subcontractors such are Inspection Test Plan (ITP), Material Approval Request (MAR).
- Prepare / Review / Approve the related inspection reports where inspection results are recorded.
- Controlling inspection status by using systematic tools such as inspection matrix.
- Setting and applying practical inspection process of particular discipline based on Project requirements and International Codes (providing ITP and managing Matrix)
- Control NCRs to be closed out within the due date and supporting to prepare Corrective Action Plan properly.
- Performing and coordinating inspection with client.
- Carry out QC Supervisor’s responsibility in his/her absence.
- Control quality violations through regular tool box talk with the construction team.
- Review and track material submittals required for Piping Definable Features of Work prior to Preparatory Meetings.
- Conduct Preparatory Meetings with Subcontractors related to Piping Definable Features of Work.
- Inspect incoming material deliveries by confirming specifications and compliance with approved submittals, conduct visual and measurement tests in conjunction with the onsite logistics team.
- Reject and facilitate the return of unacceptable materials.
- Ensure to apply lessons learnt and proper preventive action conducted.
- Review pre-fabricated spool release, welding history and perform inspections.
- Review and Approval of Test Packages, line walk, punch preparation and Hydro test inspection.
- Monitor RT backlog as per project requirements.
Work location is Fadhili, Saudi Arabia.
Key Requirement
- Aramco Experience is needed.

Education and Experience
- Inspector shall be a High School graduate, or higher; shall be fully conversant with applicable Industry Standards and Specifications; and shall perform a variety of inspection functions with minimal supervision.
- Overall Experience: 5 years.
- Experience of Inspection Specialty : 3 years.
- Experience in Contract Scope of Work : 2 years.
Job Specific Speciality in Piping Inspector (MRI)
- Inspector shall have a demonstrated background and thorough knowledge of codes such as ASME B 31.3, 31.4 and 31.8, ASME, API 570, AWS D1.1, required for the execution of the WORK.
- Inspector is required to review or ensure of the pressure test Package and shall be familiar with the PandID.4
- The candidate shall demonstrate thorough knowledge and proven ability in Material Receiving Inspection techniques.
Job Specific Speciality in Welding Inspector (MRI)
- Inspector shall be certified as an American Welding Society CWI, CSWIP 3.1 Certified Welding Inspector, or COMPANY approved equivalent.
- Inspector shall have a demonstrated background and thorough knowledge of codes such as ASME B 31.3, 31.4 and 31.8, ASME Section V and IX, API 620 and 650, AWS D1.1, required for the execution of the WORK.
- The candidate shall demonstrate thorough knowledge and proven ability in Material Receiving Inspection techniques.

- Investigate and analyze nonconformities and observations and figuring out solutions.
- Capability of planning and controlling inspections for medium scale project (0.5~1.5 billion dollar).
