Quality Assurance Engineer - Manual and Automation
You will develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to validate software functionality. You will identify, record, and track bugs, work with developers to reproduce issues and determine root causes, and suggest fixes. You will perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing, participate in requirements sessions, ensure compliance with QA standards, and help improve testing processes and automation where applicable.
Responsibilities
- Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Identify, record, and track bugs and defects systematically
- Work with development team to reproduce issues, identify root causes, and suggest solutions
- Perform functional testing
- Perform regression testing
- Perform integration testing
- Perform performance testing
- Participate in requirements gathering and provide quality insights
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards and best practices
- Continuously assess testing processes and recommend improvements
- Assist in development of automation testing scripts
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Quality Assurance role, preferably in software development
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and testing methodologies
- Experience with test case design, execution, and bug tracking tools such as JIRA and Bugzilla
- Familiarity with automation testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium and Cypress is a plus
- Solid analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
