Quality Assurance Engineer with German (Playwright)

NTT DATA Romania is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer with German to join a telecommunications project. You will own manual and automated testing, focusing on UI and REST API validation using Playwright, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile setup.

The role emphasizes shaping testing processes, creating test artifacts, participating in ceremonies, and contributing to scalable, high-quality releases for a large-scale environment.

Analyze functional requirements and business specifications. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright for UI and REST API testing. Design, write, and maintain manual test cases and test scenarios (Gherkin). Plan and execute manual testing activities (functional, regression, smoke, exploratory). Manage test cases and test execution in Jira using Xray. Document test results and create clear, detailed defect reports. Reproduce, analyze, and track defects through their lifecycle. Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team members. Contribute to continuous QA process improvements and testing practices. Create and maintain test plans, data, and environments; support releases and UAT. Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field. 4+ years of experience developing and maintaining UI and REST API test automation using Playwright. Experience in manual software testing in Agile environments (Scrum). Solid knowledge of testing methodologies, test management, and QA documentation. Experience with Jira and Xray for test management. Experience writing test specifications using Gherkin. Understanding of BDD concepts; Cucumber is a plus. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in English and German are mandatory.
