Colibri Group is a leader in online professional education, serving more than one million learners each year across a family of trusted education brands. This role supports Bula, where accurate, timely regulatory information and strong operational processes are essential to the quality of the client experience and the trust clients place in our work.
Come Build What’s Next
We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to lead quality assurance across Bula’s regulatory content and operational workflows, ensuring our information is accurate, consistent, timely, and supported by repeatable, audit-ready processes.
This is a people leadership role that blends quality assurance, process improvement, regulatory and database oversight, and team management. You will lead the quality function for Bula, manage the Legislative Information Specialist team, serve as a subject matter expert across key regulatory content processes, and turn audit findings and quality trends into practical improvements.
We’re looking for someone who is comfortable moving between detailed quality reviews and broader operational leadership. You should be equally comfortable auditing data, identifying recurring errors, improving SOPs, researching regulatory questions, coaching team members, and partnering with leadership to strengthen how work gets done.
What You’ll Do
Lead quality assurance and audit activities across Bula’s regulatory database, production workflows, client reports, jurisdiction spot checks, and other quality reviews to identify errors, trends, and compliance or process risks
Analyze audit findings and recurring quality issues, document trends in Jira, recommend corrective actions, and help implement process improvements that strengthen consistency, accuracy, and operational performance
Own and continuously improve quality-related SOPs and documentation so processes are measurable, repeatable, well understood, and audit-ready
Serve as a subject matter expert for Bula’s FAQ and Collaborative Practice Agreement (CPA) processes, including quality control, annual reviews, publishing activities, and research needed to support new or updated client content
Manage, coach, and develop Legislative Information Specialist direct reports through regular check-ins, workflow oversight, accuracy reviews, timely feedback, and clear expectations around quality and compliance
Partner with Bula leadership and cross-functional teams on client onboarding, database maintenance projects, quality issues, process improvements, and strategic initiatives that strengthen client outcomes and long-term trust
What You’ll Bring
4+ years of experience in quality assurance, quality auditing, process improvement, operations, regulatory information, database/content quality, or a closely related environment
Direct experience performing quality audits, identifying process gaps or error trends, conducting root cause analysis, and translating findings into practical process improvements
Experience working with detailed regulatory, legal, healthcare, compliance, or other highly accuracy-sensitive information; healthcare, legal, or regulatory information services experience is preferred
Experience leading or managing people, with the ability to coach for quality, consistency, accountability, and professional growth
Strong analytical judgment and attention to detail, with the ability to research complex questions, manage multiple priorities, and maintain clear documentation
Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to give constructive feedback, collaborate across teams, and contribute effectively in leadership discussions
A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Information Management, Quality Management, or a related field. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or a similar quality certification is preferred
Tools, Platforms, and Methodologies You May Use
Experience with every tool or methodology below is not required. We are most interested in your ability to build disciplined quality processes, investigate issues, use data to identify patterns, and create clear documentation that helps teams improve.
Jira or a similar workflow / issue-tracking platform
Microsoft Office Suite
Regulatory databases and external regulatory information sources
Quality auditing, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement practices
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), project plans, and quality documentation
Why You’ll Love Working Here
You’ll have meaningful ownership of the quality function and direct influence on how Bula protects the accuracy and reliability of its regulatory information
Your work will directly support client trust by helping ensure information is timely, consistent, and dependable
You’ll have the opportunity to turn quality findings into real operational improvements rather than simply identifying problems
You’ll lead and develop a team while also working closely with Bula leadership on broader process and strategy discussions.
You’ll join a mission-driven organization where strong judgment, curiosity, and continuous improvement can have a visible impact
We Encourage You to Apply
You may not check every preferred box, and that is okay!! We welcome candidates whose backgrounds may come from quality operations, healthcare or legal information services, regulatory research, compliance operations, database/content quality, or other environments where accuracy and process discipline are critical.
However, this role does require hands-on quality assurance or audit experience, demonstrated process-improvement capability, and the ability to lead people in an accuracy-sensitive operational environment. If your recent experience has primarily been software testing or technical QA without meaningful operational, regulatory, content, or process-quality ownership, this may not be the right opportunity.
If you enjoy finding the patterns behind quality issues, improving how work gets done, developing people, and making complex information more reliable, we would love to hear from you.
