SUMMARY:

The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for assessment and monitoring services to childcare providers participating in the Early Head Start (EHS) Child Care Partnership Grant. The duties require managing and providing oversight of the monitoring and tracking activities conducted within the EHS Program to meet compliance mandates defined by the Head Start Performance Standards, State of Florida Child Care Licensing, School Readiness, and local regulations. Participates in EHS Quality Assurance efforts.

HOURS:

This is a full-time position, and business hours at the Palm Springs location are Monday through Thursday 8:00 am to 5:30 pm and Friday from 8:00 am to 12:00pm. Longer hours, evenings, and weekends may be necessary on occasion.

PAY RATE: up to $24.48 per hour commensurate with experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts on-site and follow up visits of Early Head Start programs using approved program monitoring tools and prepares reports of monitoring results and Quality Improvement Plans.
  • Conducts Desk reviews in the monitoring of EHS providers and of the overall program.
  • Facilitates training and provides technical assistance as required.
  • Supports in the area of health and safety.
  • Monitors the quality and compliance of the Early Head Start program and services.
  • Supports continuous quality improvement through data analysis, internal assessments, and collaboration across departments.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from an accredited four-year college or university in a Early Childhood, Public Health, Child Development, Early Childhood Education or Health or related field.
  • Two years of experience in Early Childhood, Public Health and/or Quality Assurance
  • Previous experience in Head Start and/or School Readiness contract compliance, or local licensing, is a plus.
  • Bilingual and able to read, write and speak in English and Spanish or Creole proficiently, is a plus.
