Summary

Oversee quality and compliance for VA Telehealth equipment orders, auditing products and processes to ensure they meet government specifications and customer needs.

The Department of Veterans Affairs operates, through the Denver Logistics Service (DLS), a world-wide network where Veteran Services Division (VSD) personnel provide Veterans, their dependents, and survivors with information, advice, and assistance regarding the availability and procurement of certain Telehealth products and support devices under contracts administered by the (VA) and other agencies.

Major Duties: Monitor and analyze all orders for Telehealth products distributed by the DLS and has full customer service responsibility to the DLS customer for all Telehealth product lines. Require analytical ability combined with knowledge and application of quality assurance principles and techniques and knowledge of pertinent product characteristics. Assist in the development of plans and programs for achieving and maintaining product quality throughout the life cycle; monitor of operations to prevent production errors and to very adherence to quality plans and requirements; and analysis and investigation of adverse quality trends or conditions and implement corrective action. Assist the Telehealth Program Coordinator in determining battery schedules for all Telehealth equipment from both current and prior contracts, and regularly update battery files; assists in tracing and analyzing changes to the VA contracts for telehealth equipment and update the battery schedules for Telehealth devices accordingly. Reconcile orders placed with manufacturers and orders received by clinics. Ensure quality and customer satisfaction by monitoring, tracking, and analyze customer complaints and determine course of action to correct deficiencies. Conduct audits of products and processes for conformance to specifications. Routinely inspect vendor Purchase Order Receipts and products to verify that products offered to the Government comply with contractual requirements. Responsible for routine reviews of program efficiencies by analyzing collected quality data to detect unsatisfactory trends or conditions and weaknesses in the quality system. Serve as a contracting officer representative (COR) and work closely with Contracting Officers and Specialist from the EPO Acquisition Division to create and maintain equipment and component publication sheets for internal and external customer use. Review and evaluate supply systems operations and procedures through periodic audits and 10 surveillance inspections as well identifying deficiencies of established DLS Telehealth Operations. In conjunction with the Telehealth Program Coordinator, will co-develop Telehealth II automation processes. These processes include equipment order processing, order rejection processing, model changes, component changes, timeliness, and ease of system use. Participate in co-developing training material for both DLS employees and external customers. Training material must be customized to fit the need of both internal and external customers. Provide technical training to DLS employees on makes, models, components, accessories, batteries for equipment on past and present contracts. Act as point of contact for external and internal customer support issues on Telehealth equipment. Responsible for customer service on all Telehealth related issues. Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level. The incumbent of the position typically works indoors in an environment involving everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices or meeting rooms. Observance of normal safety practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and fails, and observance officer regulations required. The area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.
