Quality Assurance Technician / Supervisor (Chemical Manufacturing)
Summary
This role involves performing quality inspections, managing documentation, and overseeing laboratory test data in a chemical manufacturing environment. The supervisor level also includes training staff, coordinating operational resolutions, and assisting with customer complaint investigations.
Responsibilities
- Perform incoming and outgoing product quality inspections in accordance with established standard operating procedures.
- Prepare Certificate of Analysis (COA) documentation for outgoing shipments and maintain department ISO documentation.
- Update Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts, process laboratory test data, and monitor raw material compliance.
- Support QA audit activities, supplier management, and risk assessments/FMEA within the QA department.
- Supervisor Scope: Review and verify test data, SPC entries, and COA documents completed by QA Technicians.
- Supervisor Scope: Provide on-the-job training for technicians and coordinate operational issue resolution across departments.
- Supervisor Scope: Assist QA Engineers with customer complaint investigations and technical inquiries.
Requirements
Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related Science discipline (fresh local polytechnic graduates accepted for Technician roles).
Supervisor Role: Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in chemical manufacturing with sound knowledge of quality control standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods.
Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards is an added advantage.
Ability to work in cleanroom environments and flexibility to commit to overtime or shift work when required.
