Quality Control Technician

Capital Quarries is looking for a QC Tech. This position will day shift and cover the Powhatan, AR and Batesville, AR Quarry.

The Quality Control Technician performs inspections, checks, and tests for quality of the material to be utilized in the manufacturing of aggregate materials, ensuring product quality and compliance with applicable specifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides verbal and/or written tests results and reports to the QC Manager and staff.
• Enforce quality control and Company safety policies on all aspects of the work.
• Conducts tests on sand and gravel
• Communicate daily with QC Manager.
• Responsible for set up, adjustment and operation of laboratory/testing equipment.
• Work around industrial equipment and machinery to obtain materials samples.
• Record test results in a timely manner.
• Report and communicate test results.
• Clean, maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment. Maintain test data files.
• Demonstrates knowledge of, or the ability to learn, safety rules and equipment including identification of precautions for and emergency response to chemical, electrical, and mechanical hazards.
• Demonstrates good workmanship in a neat and timely manner.
• Must be able to work in a variety of positions throughout the day including standing, stooping, bending at the waist, at waist level, shoulder height and above the head. The job location is in all areas as required in our geographical work area.
• Assist plant personnel with production and maintenance functions at times.
• Participate as a team member.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
