Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented, compliance-focused Quality Inspector to support quality operations within our 503A compounding pharmacy and direct-to-consumer telehealth fulfillment operations.

This role is responsible for inspecting compounded products, materials, packaging, and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal quality standards, and patient safety expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Check completed patient orders for accurate labeling, secure packaging, and overall product quality before they ship.
  • Double-check order details (patient info, items included, shipping labels) to ensure 100% order accuracy.
  • Learn and conduct routine walk-throughs/audits/inspections of our pharmacy, fulfillment, and shipping areas to ensure team members are following standard procedures.
  • Assist in setting up and tracking "pack-out studies" to support qualification of shipping configurations, packaging materials, and carriers.
  • Help package and track product samples being sent out to third-party labs, and input test results into our quality software system.
  • Review daily logs, compounding records, and vendor paperwork for completeness, ensuring no fields are left blank.
  • Note any errors or quality concerns, flag them to your supervisor, and help give friendly feedback to the team to prevent future mistakes.
  • Assist in qualifying new and existing vendors and suppliers

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in quality assurance, quality control, pharmacy, healthcare, or compounding operations required.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for inspection reporting and staff feedback.
  • Basic computer comfort, including familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets).

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to support investigations, CAPA processes, and process improvements.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across pharmacy, fulfillment, and quality team

Preferred Qualifications

  • An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Sciences (Biology, Chemistry), Pharmacy, or a related field, a plus
  • Experience working as a Pharmacy Technician or in a warehouse fulfillment center.
  • Familiarity with USP <795>, <797>, <800>, <1163>, FDA 21 CFR Parts 210/211, HIPAA, DEA, DSCSA, and state board of pharmacy requirements.
  • Experience using inspection and monitoring tools such as balances, pH meters, environmental monitoring devices, and temperature data loggers.
  • Exposure to temperature-controlled shipping or cold-chain logistics.
  • A basic understanding of pharmacy laws or compliance (like HIPAA).
