About the Role
The Quality Technician I supports quality assurance activities by performing inspections and verifying product conformance to specifications. The role follows established procedures to identify defects and ensure quality standards are met. The position contributes to product quality, compliance, and operational consistency.
What You’ll Do
Inspection & Quality Verification
- Own accuracy of inspection activities by following defined procedures and quality standards consistently.
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections based on established inspection criteria.
- Verify product dimensions, specifications, and tolerances using standard measurement tools.
- Identify and document defects, non-conformances, and deviations from specifications.
- Record inspection results accurately within quality systems and documentation logs.
- Support containment of non-conforming materials in accordance with procedures.
Documentation & Process Support
- Ensure all inspection documentation is complete, accurate, and properly maintained.
- Follow work instructions, quality procedures, and inspection guidelines consistently.
- Assist in maintaining inspection records and quality documentation for audits.
- Communicate inspection findings and quality concerns to supervisors and team members.
- Support traceability requirements by properly labelling and documenting inspected materials.
- Assist with updating forms, logs, and quality tracking systems as required.
Safety, Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Follow all safety procedures related to inspection activities and material handling.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace aligned with 5S standards and expectations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality requirements.
- Report safety hazards, quality concerns, or process issues immediately.
- Support basic continuous improvement efforts to improve inspection efficiency and accuracy.
- Participate in training activities to develop quality and technical skills.
Additional Expectations
- Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
- Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
- Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
- Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.
What You’ll Bring
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 0 - 2 years of experience in quality, manufacturing, or inspection roles preferred.
- Basic understanding of measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, or gauges preferred.
- Ability to read work instructions, drawings, and specifications with guidance.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized procedures consistently.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation tracking.
- Ability to identify defects and communicate findings clearly.
- Willingness to learn quality systems, processes, and inspection techniques.

- Ability to stand, walk, and perform inspections for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. as required.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise and equipment.
- Ability to wear required PPE including safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toe boots.
