QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare tender documents, contracts, BQs, cost estimates, budgets, and related documentation.
  • Evaluate quotations, conduct cost analysis, and recommend suitable suppliers/subcontractors.
  • Monitor project costs and ensure budget control throughout project execution.
  • Prepareand manage progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts.
  • Assessand certify subcontractors' and suppliers' payment claims.
  • Conductquantity take-offs, measurements, and cost evaluations.
  • Maintainaccurate records of project costs, claims, variations, and contracts.
  • Negotiate subcontract agreements, variation claims, and account settlements.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers on commercial matters.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance project profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, company policies, and industry regulations.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • Minimum3 years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience in the construction industry.
  • Familiarity with tendering procedures, contract administration, cost control, progress claims, and final account settlement.
  • Good knowledge of construction contracts, measurement standards, and quantity take-off practices.
  • Proficient n Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; experience with QS software will be an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Meticulous, organized, and detail-oriented with strong commercial awareness.
