QUANTITY SURVEYOR
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare tender documents, contracts, BQs, cost estimates, budgets, and related documentation.
- Evaluate quotations, conduct cost analysis, and recommend suitable suppliers/subcontractors.
- Monitor project costs and ensure budget control throughout project execution.
- Prepareand manage progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts.
- Assessand certify subcontractors' and suppliers' payment claims.
- Conductquantity take-offs, measurements, and cost evaluations.
- Maintainaccurate records of project costs, claims, variations, and contracts.
- Negotiate subcontract agreements, variation claims, and account settlements.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers on commercial matters.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance project profitability.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, company policies, and industry regulations.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- Minimum3 years of relevant Quantity Surveying experience in the construction industry.
- Familiarity with tendering procedures, contract administration, cost control, progress claims, and final account settlement.
- Good knowledge of construction contracts, measurement standards, and quantity take-off practices.
- Proficient n Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; experience with QS software will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Meticulous, organized, and detail-oriented with strong commercial awareness.
