Opportunity for Quantity Surveyor – Dubai, UAE

We have an opportunity in Dubai for the infrastructure, data center, and construction industry.

Role: Quantity Surveyor
Tenure: 12 months and extendable
Location: Dubai, UAE

Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Education:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying with previous experience working within the construction industry, preferably with data centre experience.

Experience:
Proven track record in a complex, customer-centric role requiring exceptional agility, decisiveness, and commercial acumen. Demonstrated ability to manage intricate projects and deliver outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carefully review tender documents to identify exact requirements and potential risks.
  • Create a detailed schedule of works or quantify the Bill of Quantities.
  • Carry out site visits, take notes and appropriate photographs, review information with the Contracts Manager, and incorporate findings into tender pricing.
  • Review budgets and allowances with the relevant Project Manager to identify if the construction period can be reduced.
  • Manage procurement of sub-contract packages, labour-only packages, and suppliers.
  • Prepare labour, plant, and material budgets.
  • Produce forecast cost reports comparing project actual costs against planned costs to provide accurate forecasts.
  • Prepare and submit monthly valuations and invoices, including all supporting information for claims and variations.

  • International travel: willingness and ability to travel internationally (15-25%) to oversee projects, engage with global partners, and ensure successful project execution across different locations.
