Receiving Agent
What You Will Do
- Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming deliveries against purchase orders, confirming accuracy in quantity, quality, and specification.
- Record all received goods promptly and accurately in our inventory management system.
- Identify and communicate discrepancies, damaged goods, or shortages to the Purchasing Manager in a timely manner.
- Organize and store all deliveries in designated areas, maintaining strict FIFO (First In, First Out) rotation and proper labeling.
- Maintain an immaculate, organized, and safe receiving dock and storage environment at all times.
- Liaise professionally with vendors, delivery personnel, and internal departments including Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and Engineering.
- Assist with routine physical inventory counts and cycle counts as directed.
What You Bring
- Operate hand trucks, flatbed carts, and pallet jacks with care and in accordance with safety protocols.
- Uphold all hotel policies, safety procedures, and food handling and sanitation standards.
- A high school diploma or equivalent; additional education is a plus.
- Prior experience in a receiving, warehousing, or storeroom role is valued, though we welcome motivated candidates new to the field.
- Comfort with basic computer use and data entry; familiarity with inventory systems is an advantage.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of the role.
- Clear, professional communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
- The ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet throughout most of the shift.
- Composure working in varying temperature environments, including refrigerated and freezer storage areas.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is warmly welcomed.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 50 lbs; heavier loads managed with equipment or team assistance.
- Stand and walk for the duration of a 6–8 hour shift on hard surfaces, including loading dock and storage areas.
- Bend, stoop, kneel, reach overhead, and climb step stools or ladders as needed.
- Work comfortably in walk-in refrigerators (35–40°F) and walk-in freezers (0–10°F) for periods throughout the day.
- Safely operate material-handling equipment including hand trucks and pallet jacks.
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time position with a consistent weekly schedule.
- Shifts may include early mornings, weekends, and holidays in keeping with the demands of a world-class hospitality operation.
- Compensation: $27.00 – $28.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
