As a Refinery Document Control Analyst you will perform necessary tasks under the direction of qualified personnel in a safe and environmentally sound manner to ensure engineering and/or technical documents are filed and categorized in an efficient and accurate manner.

- Assist plant personnel with drawing and documentation requests in an expedient and professional manner. Utilizes copiers, faxes, and scanners. Controls and enters information into the Document Control Database.
- Serve as the EDMS (Electronic Document Management System) owner.
- Obtain sufficient training in order to train others in the use of the EDMS system.
- Train document control personnel and designer/drafter personnel in the use of EDMS system.
- Develop a training guide for occasional users of the system (outside design firms, etc.).
- Work with counterparts at other refineries to develop/implement/modify procedures for check in/check out of the system.
- Work with software vendor to implement and then trains for updates to EDMS
- Monitor and report to management on system use issues and other metrics as developed.
- Research (technical), compile, copy, file, and distribute engineering and/or technical documentation and drawings to plant and construction personnel as required. Verify engineering and/or technical information as required by supervision.
- Contact manufacturers, vendors, and others as required to obtain information.
- Read and are able to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals including engineering and/or technical information. Write routine reports and correspondence.
- Perform job duties in a safe and environmentally sound manner in accordance with all Valero policies and procedures. Successfully complete initial plant safety orientation training.
This position is salaried nonexempt status, which means you are eligible for overtime pay.
