About Superpower X AI
Superpower X AI is an AI-native cloud infrastructure provider purpose-built for large-scale model training and inference. We provide bare-metal GPU computing, low-latency networking, high-density data centre colocation, and customised infrastructure solutions—from flexible single-node deployments to multi-thousand-GPU clusters.
About the Role
We are looking for a Regional Data Centre Project Manager to coordinate the construction and technical delivery of high-performance data centres and GPU infrastructure projects across Southeast Asia.
This is primarily a project management and coordination role. You will work across data centre facilities, networking, servers, vendors, contractors, customers, and internal teams to ensure each project is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to technical requirements.
You do not need to be a deep specialist in every technical area, but you should have a practical understanding of both data centre facilities and IT infrastructure. You must be able to identify risks, coordinate technical stakeholders, resolve delivery issues, and manage projects through deployment, testing, acceptance, and handover.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end planning, construction, deployment, and delivery of data centre and GPU infrastructure projects across Southeast Asia.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, resource plans, risk registers, and key delivery milestones.
Coordinate data centre facility teams, network engineers, server engineers, vendors, contractors, customers, and internal stakeholders.
Track site readiness, including space, power, UPS, cooling, racks, cabling, fire protection, access control, and environmental monitoring.
Coordinate the transportation, delivery, installation, cabling, configuration, and testing of GPU servers, network equipment, storage systems, and related hardware.
Coordinate network and technical delivery, including carrier circuits, internet connectivity, cross-border connectivity, switches, routers, firewalls, and RoCE networks.
Lead project kick-off meetings, progress reviews, and technical coordination meetings, ensuring that action items, owners, and deadlines are clearly documented and followed up.
Manage relationships with equipment suppliers, data centre operators, logistics providers, construction contractors, and other external partners.
Track equipment procurement, manufacturing, shipping, customs clearance, site delivery, and installation schedules.
Identify project risks, delivery delays, technical dependencies, and resource constraints, and drive timely resolution.
Coordinate system testing, integrated commissioning, issue remediation, customer acceptance, and production go-live.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, equipment lists, rack layouts, network diagrams, change records, test reports, and acceptance documents.
Provide regular updates to management on project progress, costs, risks, dependencies, and matters requiring escalation.
Support business development and pre-sales teams by assessing customer requirements, project feasibility, delivery timelines, and resource needs.
Coordinate the handover of completed projects to the operations team and follow up on initial operational issues.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Networking, Telecommunications, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
At least five years of relevant experience in data centres, IT infrastructure, networking, servers, or technical project delivery.
Experience in data centre construction, GPU facilities, high-performance computing, cloud infrastructure, or large-scale server deployments is preferred.
Strong project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple teams, vendors, workstreams, and deadlines.
Practical knowledge of data centre facilities, including power distribution, UPS, cooling, racks, structured cabling, fire protection, access control, and environmental monitoring.
Practical knowledge of IT infrastructure, including servers, GPU clusters, storage, switches, routers, firewalls, fibre connectivity, and data centre networks.
Ability to read and understand site layouts, rack elevations, network diagrams, equipment lists, and project schedules.
Strong risk-management, problem-solving, stakeholder-management, and on-site coordination skills.
Fluent written and spoken English, with the ability to lead meetings and communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and regional teams.
Willing and able to travel frequently across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and other Southeast Asian markets.
Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia, Bahasa Indonesia, Thai, or another Southeast Asian language is an advantage.
PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, CDCP, CDCS, CCNA, or other relevant certifications are an advantage.
Preferred Attributes
Strong ownership, accountability, and execution skills.
Clear, timely, and professional communication.
Comfortable working independently in a fast-growing and rapidly changing environment.
Able to manage overall project delivery while maintaining close attention to on-site details.
Willing to work closely with project teams on site and actively drive stakeholders towards successful delivery.
