Regional Heavy-Duty Sales Manager (Eastern Region)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and strengthen relationships with current and prospective customers in the heavy-duty industry
- Provide detailed reports on territory sales performance and market opportunities to the HD Sales Manager
- Analyze customer data to recommend optimal inventory and identify sales opportunities
- Strengthen existing distributor relationships and establish new partnerships, enhancing DENSO’S distribution network
- Lead and coordinate efforts for converting competitor product lines to DENSO products among distributors
- Organize and deliver product training sessions for distributor and store personnel to improve product knowledge and sales techniques
- Manage and participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and other promotional events to represent DENSO and promote its products
- Oversee and support customer service initiatives to ensure distributor satisfaction and address any issues or concerns promptly
- Conduct gap analysis and facilitate the interchange of competitor parts to Denso parts
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and budgets through effective territory management
- Provide technical training, customer support, and business analytics
- Manage and coordinate the changeover of competitive product lines to Denso products
- Collaborate closely with the HD Sales Manager to maximize account productivity and rep agency effectiveness
- Work closely with Rep Agency’s in territory to maximize sales objectives and opportunities and deliver a high level of service to meet the customers’ expectations and needs.
- Represent the company at major industry events, conferences, and with high level clients or partners
- Travel extensively throughout the assigned territory to support customers, develop business, and strengthen relationships
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field
- 5-8 years of relevant experience
- Previous Automotive aftermarket experience preferred
- Excellent project management skills including the ability to define program, project or process objectives, identify customers/stakeholders and their interests, plan steps, and to coordinate resources to accomplish goals and objectives in an effective and timely manner
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be a skillful presenter that can interpret information based on a general knowledge of the organization, its products and procedures, and provide an independent explanation and discussion based on the technical or complex nature of the materials being discussed
- Excellent customer service skills with an ability to approach every business relationship partnership
- Excellent analytical skills with an ability to independently evaluate and develop innovative solutions to complex situations, applying knowledge of specialty area and use of sound judgment
- Excellent negotiation skills. Ability to resolve difficult or complicated situations that are often sensitive in nature.
- Recognizes and applies subtle cues in anticipating customers’ needs and potential next steps. Takes strong stand without indicating disrespect and seeks positive outcomes
- Demonstrated competency in working with computer software and mainframe applications to manipulate, analyze and reconcile data: Working knowledge in MS Office Programs - MS Word, MS Excel (intermediate level), and MS PowerPoint.
