About CCS

Community Concierge Services (CCS) provides doorstep waste and recycling collection for apartment communities nationwide. Our team of more than 700 employees serves over 175,000 apartment homes each night.

We're looking for an experienced operations leader to lead and manage multiple District Managers across an assigned region. You will be responsible for developing your managers, maintaining dependable service, strengthening client relationships, and driving operational performance throughout the region.

As CCS grows, this role offers the opportunity to build leadership teams and take on broader responsibility within a founder-led company.

Understand the role and schedule

This is a hands-on regional leadership position that requires consistent time in the field with your District Managers and their teams.

  • Regular travel and overnight stays are required. You will travel between markets within your assigned region to coach managers, inspect operations, support community launches, and address performance issues.

  • Evening and weekend availability is essential. Peak service hours are 6 p.m. to midnight, and service operates seven days a week across our communities.

  • Daytime responsibilities include manager meetings, recruiting, client communication, planning, and administrative work.

  • You are accountable for regional coverage. You will ensure District Managers maintain staffing and backup plans, coordinate support between markets, and step in when issues require regional leadership.

  • You must be willing to assist with frontline work when necessary, including trash collection during critical coverage situations. Fieldwork can include extended walking, repeated stair climbing, carrying bagged trash, and working outdoors.

  • Operational needs may require work beyond typical hours. This position requires a full-time commitment and cannot be performed alongside another full-time job.

What you'll do

Lead and develop District Managers

  • Lead, coach, and hold multiple District Managers accountable for performance across the entire region.

  • Hire and onboard District Managers, establish clear expectations, and evaluate their progress.

  • Conduct regular individual check-ins and field visits to identify challenges and provide practical coaching.

  • Address performance issues promptly and develop future leaders for advancement.

  • Help managers build dependable teams through effective recruiting, training, communication, and employee retention.

Own regional service performance

  • Ensure every district has effective staffing, scheduling, and backup coverage plans.

  • Anticipate staffing shortages and coordinate resources between districts and markets.

  • Inspect communities and review service audits, reporting, and recurring issues.

  • Hold managers accountable for correcting problems and preventing repeat service failures.

  • Support major service disruptions, equipment issues, and other escalations.

  • Reinforce safety standards and proper use of company vehicles, equipment, and technology.

Manage client relationships and growth

  • Build relationships with property management teams and support District Managers in maintaining client confidence.

  • Take ownership of escalated concerns and ensure timely resolution.

  • Coordinate new community launches with the appropriate teams, ensuring staffing, equipment, and training are ready.

  • Support expansion into new markets within the region while maintaining service quality at existing communities.

Manage results and operational discipline

  • Monitor district and regional performance, including service quality, staffing, employee retention, client concerns, and labor costs.

  • Review payroll accuracy, employee documentation, and required reporting.

  • Manage staffing and operating expenses against established budgets.

  • Identify patterns across districts and implement practical improvements.

  • Keep senior leadership informed of results, risks, staffing needs, and corrective actions.

Experience that translates well

We're looking for candidates who have successfully managed other supervisors or managers across multiple locations, ideally supporting hourly or part-time workforces.

Relevant backgrounds include:

  • Valet trash, waste services, or other field service operations

  • Commercial cleaning or janitorial management

  • Security operations

  • Parking or valet services

  • Hotel or hospitality operations

  • Restaurant district or area management

  • Staffing or branch leadership

  • Multifamily maintenance operations

Experience developing managers, handling staffing challenges, managing client relationships, and overseeing dispersed teams is especially valuable.

What helps you succeed

  • You develop managers who can independently lead dependable operations.

  • You set clear expectations, inspect results, and follow through on accountability.

  • You recognize staffing and service risks early and act before they become larger problems.

  • You balance employee support, client expectations, and financial performance.

  • You are comfortable traveling frequently and adjusting your schedule to support evening operations.

  • You lead by example and are willing to work alongside your managers and frontline employees.

  • You use reporting tools, spreadsheets, and company systems to make informed decisions.

  • You can meet the travel, schedule, and physical requirements of the position, with reasonable accommodation where applicable.

Compensation and benefits

  • $75,000 annual base salary, paid biweekly

  • $10,000 annual performance-based bonus opportunity

  • Company vehicle for work-related use, with fuel and maintenance covered

  • Company-sponsored health insurance available for you and your family

  • 401(k) matching: 4% match on the first 5% contributed after 12 months

  • Opportunities for increased responsibility and advancement as CCS expands
