Job Summary

At HAT Collective, we’re empowering individualization in the workplace. We believe the power to choose improves satisfaction, health and productivity. Our products showcase craftsmanship and design innovation, enabling individuals to create their ideal workspace. Whether in the office or at home, sitting or standing, together or at a distance, our sophisticated range of workplace solutions lets you work your way.

This is a high-impact sales opportunity for someone who knows how to build relationships, develop new business, and grow strategic partnerships. You’ll own your region, build and manage a strong sales pipeline, develop relationships with Independent Manufacturers Representatives (IRG), distribution partners, and customers, and help expand HAT’s presence across markets

The Regional Sales Manager will be a key representative of HAT in the market, connecting with customers and partners, identifying opportunities, presenting solutions and managing relationships from initial opportunity through long-term partnership.

What You’ll Do

  • Proactively prospect and expand your pipeline using a variety of methods: cold outreach, referrals, LinkedIn, tradeshows and events
  • Develop and maintain senior-level relationships with dealers, end users, A&D firms and independent rep groups.
  • Expand existing customer business by building and maintaining rapport and identifying new opportunities.
  • Frequent travel within your region to meet with prospective customers in your assigned territory as well as trade shows, customer events and partner events to represent HAT.
  • Present value-driven solutions both virtually and in person.
  • Follow-up quickly on inbound and event generated leads.
  • Manage opportunities from discovery through close
  • Complete sales activity and opportunity reports as well as regular volume forecasts.
  • Acquire and maintain a strong understanding of all products offered at HAT, including monitor arms, height adjustable tables and related products.
  • Continuously grow your industry knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading industry publications and maintaining personal networks and collaborating with peers across the industry.
  • Contribute to product development and enhancements by actively participating in customer satisfaction and feedback gathering efforts and providing input and support to management to improve customer experience.

What Will Make You Successful

  • You understand how the office furniture industry works and enjoy building business through relationships.
  • You’re a natural networker who can develop trust with manufacturers' representatives, distributors, dealers and customers.
  • You’re comfortable prospecting and creating opportunities rather than relying solely on inbound business.
  • You know how to manage a territory and balance developing new relationships with growing existing partnerships.
  • You can confidently present solutions, negotiate and move opportunities through the sales cycle.
  • You’re persistent, organized and accountable for following opportunities through to close.
  • You bring curiosity and a willingness to learn HAT’s products, understand customer needs and identify creative solutions.
  • You enjoy being in the market and building relationships face-to-face.

What We’re Looking For

  • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in the office furniture industry and/or distribution channel sales required.
  • Experience in the contract office furniture industry strongly preferred.
  • Existing relationships within the office furniture or distribution channel are a plus, but not required.
  • Proven ability to develop new business, grow existing accounts and build long-term customer relationships.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, communication and sales closing skills.
  • Creative, proactive approach to identifying opportunities and selling new ideas and solutions.
  • Strong organizational, planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable managing a regional territory independently.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 30–50% throughout the region.
