SUMMARY:The Regional Sales Manager plays a critical leadership role in driving business growth, enhancing profitability, and optimizing sales operations across the region. This position is responsible for meeting or exceeding revenue and profit margin goals, leveraging data insights to guide decision-making, and building a high-performing sales team aligned with company objectives. The role requires strategic vision, strong people management skills, financial acumen, and a focus on continuous improvement in both performance and process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides overall sales leadership and direction to regional sales teams, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
Partners closely with the Division Operations Manager to drive operational excellence and improve region-wide performance.
Utilizes Power BI and other analytical tools to track sales performance, uncover trends, and guide business decisions with actionable insights.
Collaborates with operational and corporate staff to review sales processes and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
Leads the implementation of sales policies, practices, and initiatives across all locations within the region.
Actively participates in field selling with team members to support growth and develop client relationships.
Analyzes challenges impacting team performance at both strategic and tactical levels, identifying solutions and implementing corrective measures.
Develops and manages the annual sales plan, including strategies, key initiatives, and performance objectives; provides ongoing progress reports to executive leadership.

Manages regional P&L responsibilities, including revenue growth, gross margin performance, expense control, and overall profitability.

Provides monthly regional performance reporting with insights and recommendations; creates and executes data-driven action plans to enhance productivity and results.

SALES TALENT MANAGEMENT:

Leads the recruitment, onboarding, and development of high-performing sales professionals across the region.
Creates a culture of performance, engagement, and accountability through coaching, mentoring, and career development opportunities.
Implements strategies to retain top talent, ensuring team stability and continuity of customer relationships.
Proactively identifies and addresses performance gaps within the team; responsible for taking appropriate corrective action including performance improvement plans or separation when necessary.

YOU MAY BE A GOOD FIT IF YOU

Bachelor’s degree in Business or relevant field is preferred.
Minimum of five years of successful experience in a professional business to business sales role, preferably in a related industry.
Minimum of two years of management experience with a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
Outstanding record of sales and customer retention.
Strong analytical and solid judgment skills with proven problem-solving capability.
Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated computer skills in Word, Excel and web navigation.
Strong customer and consultative sales orientation.
Strong business acumen with an ability to understand and communicate company’s business marketplace and value proposition.

Demonstrated ability to manage financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, margin management, and P&L accountability.

Ability to travel throughout region on a regular basis.
