Regional Tax Manager

<p><b><u>Position overview:</u></b></p><p>We are seeking a Regional Tax Manager with approximately 10 years of relevant experience to drive the tax function of the group. The role is responsible for managing tax matters across 16 jurisdictions, with main ones being Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, India, Vietnam, and USA.</p><p><b><u>Job Description:</u></b></p><p><b>Tax Compliance</b></p><p>• Ensure all tax compliances (i.e. corporate tax returns, transfer pricing documentations, SST/GST/VAT filings, WHT) are prepared, reviewed, and submitted on a timely basis across all relevant jurisdictions.</p><p>• Ensure compliance with Group's transfer pricing policies, broader tax risk management framework and mitigation measures.</p><p><b>Tax Audit</b></p><p>• Manage all tax audits and tax cases across relevant jurisdictions.</p><p>• Engage and manage tax consultants and/or lawyers to handle tax audits and cases, as necessary.</p><p>• Maintain the group-wide tax audit register to keep senior management and stakeholders apprised of latest status.</p><p><b>Tax Advisory & Legal Support</b></p><p>• Review legal arrangements and transaction structures to ensure tax efficiency and compliance.</p><p>• Partner with the Legal team to review contract terms for tax considerations.</p><p>• Monitor and communicate changes in tax rulings, law, etc to stakeholders</p><p>• Drive the achievement of the company's tax objectives and key results.</p><p><b>Tax Business Partnering</b></p><p>• Evaluate the tax viability of new business initiatives and provide recommendations to relevant stakeholders.</p><p>• Provide tax input to support business modelling and financial planning.</p><p><b>Ad-hoc</b></p><p>• Complete any tax-related ad-hoc requests from line manager, senior management, and/or stakeholders. </p><p><br /></p><p>The successful candidate will demonstrate the following abilities:</p><p>• Professionalism: Demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility and commitment, with the willingness to put in additional effort during critical periods (e.g., tax filing deadlines, tax audit periods) to meet deadlines. </p><p>• Team Player: Proactively supports team members, collaborates effectively, and contributes to the overall success of the team. </p><p>• Attention to Detail: Possesses a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to consistently meet established timelines and deadlines. </p><p>• Communication Skills (Written & Verbal): Strong command of English, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal forms. </p><p>• Intellectual Curiosity: Demonstrates a proactive mindset with a strong desire to learn, improve, and challenge the status quo.</p><p></p><p><br /></p><p><span style="font-size:inherit;"><u><b>About ADA</b></u></span></p><p><span>ADA is the Data and AI Experience Company.
