- Expertly evaluate patient conditions to prioritize care and implement life-saving interventions in a high-acuity environment.
- Precisely carry out physician orders and monitor patient stability, adapting care plans instantly as conditions evolve.
- Act as the primary coordinator for the multidisciplinary trauma and emergency teams to ensure seamless, well-timed care.
- Provide clear, empathetic education and support to patients and families navigating the stress of an emergency visit.
- Coordinate urgent diagnostic testing and facilitate efficient admissions or discharge planning to maintain optimal department flow.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing OR current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
