Remote Backend Engineer — Grow with a New Tech Team

Brainylabs is seeking a Backend Developer with strong Java skills for a fully remote role. While remote, we’d love someone near Bologna for occasional meetups and collaboration over coffee or pair programming sessions.

You should be self-driven, capable of structuring your own work, and ready to help guide colleagues as the team grows. A computer science degree is welcome, but not mandatory if you have proven abilities.

2–4 years of experience as Backend Developer Java (8+), Spring Boot, Hibernate / JPA REST/SOAP protocols and JSON/XML serialization Familiarity with authorization and authentication concepts Knowledge of relational databases and SQL Knowledge of Git and its main workflows
