About the Role

Our client, a fast-growing SaaS company, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join their fully remote engineering team. You will work with cutting-edge technologies, tackle complex challenges, and contribute to the strategic technical direction of the company. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of distributed systems, API design, and best practices for building robust and performant backend services. As a remote-first organization, we value autonomy, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence. You will have the opportunity to work with a talented, distributed team of engineers, shaping the future of our technology stack from anywhere. If you are passionate about building resilient, high-throughput backend systems and thrive in a collaborative remote environment, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5+ years of professional experience in backend development, with a focus on building scalable systems.

  • Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages (e.g., Go, Python, Java, Node.js).

  • Strong experience designing and implementing microservices architecture.

  • Expertise in database design and management (SQL and NoSQL).

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Solid understanding of networking protocols and distributed systems concepts.

  • Experience with message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) is a plus.

  • Proficiency in version control systems (Git).

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fully remote, collaborative team setting.

Benefits

  • Highly competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.

  • Comprehensive global health, dental, and vision insurance.
