Research Manager

You will work hand-in-hand with Research Engineers to develop sector-specific crypto reports, thinking big picture about each sector, driving analysis, and drawing out interesting insights. You'll suggest areas of further inquiry, coordinate feedback from relevant team members including the Head of Research, and have the opportunity to own special research projects of your own. You'll keep research workflows organized and on track by leading daily huddles, maintaining content trackers, setting timelines, and monitoring ecosystem channels like Telegram, Twitter, and Email to surface relevant insights. You'll manage the editorial process from first draft to final publication, reviewing and refining copy and incorporating feedback from research leads. Over time, you'll bring a fresh perspective to publishing processes, ideate new initiatives to maximize reach and distribution, and shape innovative research projects, building your own point of view about crypto to help guide the research team's direction as it grows.

• Incorporate feedback from research leads and publish finalized reports
• Ideate new initiatives to maximize reach and distribution
• Collaborate with Infrastructure and Open Source teams on research as needed

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in an academic-grade crypto research publishing house, VC/IB/PE-style emerging technologies market analysis, or corresponding analytical domains
• Ability to think critically about blockchain-based businesses and their positioning in onchain and real-world markets
• Strong organizational skills, including managing multiple moving parts, setting deadlines, and coordinating feedback loops
• Understanding of data science concepts and an intermediary grasp of statistical analysis
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get things done
• Experience working in a remote or highly distributed team environment is a plus
