Resident Physician / ENT [Aws + PB + SQB | Other Allowances]

Responsibilities:

  • Participate actively in inpatient ward rounds as part of the ENT clinical team.
  • Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with otolaryngology conditions in outpatient clinics under appropriate supervision.
  • Provide on-call coverage for ENT inpatients and emergency referrals, escalating complex cases when necessary.
  • Assist in ENT procedures and surgical operations in day surgery centres and operating theatres.
  • Perform clinical procedures within the scope of training and competency.
  • Collaborate with senior physicians and consultants to ensure safe and effective patient care.
  • Participate in teaching and educational activities for junior doctors and medical students.
  • Support departmental administrative duties, including preparation of medical reports and clinical review meetings.

Requirements:

  • Recognized medical qualification that is acceptable for medical practice registration in Singapore.
  • Fully registered medical practitioner in the country of practice.
  • Minimum 24 months of postgraduate clinical experience.
  • At least 12 months of experience in an Otolaryngology (ENT) department as a Registrar, Resident, Medical Officer, Senior House Officer, or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of common otolaryngology conditions, head and neck pathology, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Experienced in diagnosing and managing common ENT conditions, including emergency presentations.
  • Competent in office-based and emergency ENT procedures.
  • Proficient in flexible and rigid nasal, laryngeal, and endoscopic examinations.
  • Experienced in performing aural toilet procedures.
  • Experienced in administering intra-tympanic injections.
  • Experienced in removing foreign bodies from the pharynx, nose, and ear.
  • Competent in epistaxis assessment and management.
  • Experienced in performing fine needle aspiration of head and neck masses.
  • Competent in wound care and suturing of head and neck lacerations.
  • Experienced with nasogastric tube insertion.
  • Knowledge of tracheostomy care and management.
  • Experienced in performing incision and drainage of head and neck abscesses.
  • Strong clinical judgment, interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
