Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Up to $10,000 Sign-on Bonus Based on Eligibility

Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the care given to inpatients and outpatients to patients of all age populations at Piedmont Medical Center requiring respiratory therapy services.

• Performs all aspects of respiratory care to include diagnostic test of the cardio-pulmonary system
• performs quality control on all respiratory care equipment to include I-STAT blood gas analyzers
• Provides respiratory care to patients.
• Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.
Other related duties as assigned.

Required:
• Education:
○ Graduate of Accredited and Approved Respiratory Care Technician or Therapist program
○ Associate degree required.
• Certifications/Registrations/Licenses:
○ Current Respiratory Therapy Licensure through South Carolina Medical Examiner’s office.
○ CRTT required (Verified by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
○ American Heart Association BLS CPR required, must be obtained within 7 days of hire.
○ American Heart Association PALS and ACLS certifications required within orientation period.
○ NRP certification required for NICU trained therapists

Preferred:
• Experience: 2 to 5 years of job-related experience preferred.
• Certifications/Registrations/Licenses: RRT preferred (Verified by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
