Basic Functions: Responsibilities include overseeing the daily operations, financial success, team development, customer/donor relations, and overall management of the store.
Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned):
- Achieve financial objectives by monitoring daily sales in comparison to budget, controlling inventory, reviewing store P&L/GL monthly, managing expenses, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions when discrepancies arise. Control and monitor purchased inventory through weekly cycle counts and monthly inventories
- Develop and research plans for continued store growth
- Ensure store compliance with operational and safety policies and procedures
- Daily management of ReStore Staff, including basic HR functions such as: interviewing, hiring, counselling, training, development, and termination
- Maintain legal and safety requirements of the store
- Consistently provide an exceptional level of both internal and external customer service
- Demonstrate a positive and respectful attitude when interacting with employees, customers, donors, volunteers, HIPs (Homeowners in Progress) and Community Service Workers
- Ensure an exceptional meaningful volunteer, customer, donor, HIP and Community Service Worker experience
- Be an effective team member when working with staff and volunteers, ensuring the engagement and motivation of others
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for employees, volunteers and customers
- Represent Habitat in a positive, professional manner
- Interact and collaborate with other departments (IT, HR, Volunteer Services, Accounting, etc)
- Ability to read, count, and accurately complete reports and all end-of-day documentation
- Regular and reliable job attendance
- Adhere to schedule
- Maintain a presentable appearance, including ReStore appropriate attire
- Ability to adhere to Habitats Code of Conduct policies and other policies
- Valid drivers license and the ability to be insured by Habitats insurance provider
- Have a personal and reliable vehicle that you can use for business purposes, on occasion
- Habitat Charlotte Region-related tasks as requested by supervisor
