Summary

A 6-month onsite co-op (Jan–Jun 2027) at Skyworks' Irvine, CA design center, where the student helps design RF front-end ICs (mainly RF switches and couplers) for mobile phones — running Cadence Virtuoso/SPICE simulations and characterizing/tuning devices in the RF lab.

Description

Skyworks is seeking a motivated Winter/Spring 2027 Co-op to join the Irvine, California, design team developing high-performance RFIC solutions for next-generation mobile applications! This is an excellent opportunity to expand your technical knowledge as well as your peer network and launch a career in the field of mobile communications.

The Irvine design center is comprised of several tight-knit, inclusive teams. Every team is guided by the core principles of sharing, openness, collaboration, accountability, and trust. You will contribute to the realization of RF Front-End integrated circuits used in mobile phones from initial concept to final production. During the Co-op you will see your valuable inputs directly translate into new ways of solving common problems, improving design methodology, or enhancing business culture or the work environment. Join us in experiencing all aspects of highly integrated semiconductor, module, and embedded RF circuit design. You will also have the opportunity to experience our in-house prototype assembly laboratory and our world-class RF characterization laboratory.

Term: Winter/Spring (January 2027 - June 2027)

Responsibilities
