RFIC Design Winter/Spring Co-Op (Jan-June '27)
Description
Description
RFIC Design Co-Op
Req is for an opening to work in our design center in Newbury Park Southern California. Not only will you learn and accumulate advanced technical skills in RFIC LNA and RF Switch design, but we also provide various career growth opportunities to fit your personal career goals. This intern co-op position will involve you to learn and participate developing the most sophisticated RF front end module through Skyworks technical networks with collaborations with several expert team within Skyworks. This is a very exciting opportunity for candidate who has ambition to build up professional growth and be part of Skyworks success. The successful RFIC design intern candidate must possess a reasonable understanding of analog circuit, have RF circuit and microwave coarsework that will enable you to jump in supporting job functions that improve and characterize performance in simulation and lab environments.
Co-op duration: January to June 2027
Responsibilities
RFIC Co-Op
1. Simulating/validating RFIC (LNA, RF switch, etc.) performance across supply, temperature, and frequency
2. Top- and block-level design and simulation to understand the circuits that are being measured and correlating measurements with simulation
3. Creating compliance matrices against spec, plotting results and presenting results summary
4. Tuning RF front end modules in the lab
5. Impedance matching using Smith chart
6. Evaluating RF parameters like IP3, P1dB, NF, return loss, etc.
7. Work in collaboration with your assigned mentor and manager
8. LNA and RFIC related validation engineering work
9. Analyzing data to root cause performance issues and provided opportunities to demonstrate learning and implement changes that can go into IC tapeout
