RN Specialized - Per Diem - Cancer Treatment Room - Torrey Pines Clinic

This is a per diem/casual position working 10-hr day shifts on varied weekdays, generally from 7\:30am-6pm. Training will be full time hours for about 4 weeks. Located at Scripps Clinic Torrey Pines but required to travel to the Rancho Bernardo Clinic as needed. Minimum shift requirement 4 shifts/4 weeks.

  • Our highly skilled Specialized Services RNs work in an innovative, welcoming, and patient-centered environment.
  • The Cancer Treatment Room / Oncology Infusion Center at Scripps Clinic Rancho Bernardo has 25 treatment chairs and handles approximately 55–70 cancer treatments per day, including oncology infusions and supportive therapies
  • The care team includes charge and resource nurses and resources, and you will work in close contact with the clinic provider and their team.

What you'll do\:

  • Perform patient assessments and care tasks, including emergency procedures, medication administration, chemotherapy/biotherapy administration as appropriate.
  • Educate patients and document patient interactions.
  • Practice infection control.
  • Contribute to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care within own scope of practice
