- Ensures that Company and Public Health standards of housekeeping, sanitation, maintenance, and related services in guests and teammates public areas as well as guests and officers staterooms are always upheld.
- Consistently exceeds the Housekeeping defined targets, by driving a personalized guest and teammate centric & experience culture, reducing friction points and mitigating negative surprises.
- Performs daily inspections to ensure consistent cleanliness, sanitization, presentation and timely readiness of guest and teammate public areas.
- Drives and optimizes the use of OCEAN Hospitality and GuestView Housekeeping tools to ensure personnel deliver a truly personalized service to guests.
- Accountable for the Housekeeping operation in guest and teammate public areas as well as guests and officers rooms, including problem resolution and all Service Excellence related guest inquiries.
- Identifies and communicates furnishing requirements to the Assistant Rooms Division Manager (for guest and teammate public areas) and Rooms Division Manager (for officer and guest rooms)
- Partners closely with the Rooms Division Manager, Assistant Rooms Division Manager and other shipboard leaders to capture best practices and shares insights on operational efficiencies.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Housekeeping operations, within a premium hospitality environment (luxury hotels or cruise ships preferred).
- At least one (1) year in a supervisory or leadership role, demonstrating the ability to manage teams, delegate tasks, and uphold high operational standards.
- Proven experience in overseeing both guest staterooms and public areas, ensuring consistent cleanliness, presentation, and compliance with brand standards.
- Strong understanding of Public Health, Environmental, and Sanitation regulations, particularly those relevant to maritime or international hospitality environments.
- Ability to ensure full compliance with hygiene protocols, safety procedures, and cleaning standards in all operational areas.
- Familiarity with inspection processes, reporting tools, and quality control measures in housekeeping operations.
- Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with international guests and crew.
- Good command of Japanese, both written and verbal, with the ability to support Japanese-speaking guests and liaise with relevant stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of customer service fundamentals, with a strong commitment to delivering an exceptional guest experience at all times.
- Ability and willingness to anticipate guest needs, resolve concerns promptly, and consistently exceed expectations.
