Safety Officer | Construction & Workplace Safety
📍 Location: Lakeside
💰 Salary: $6,000/month
📅 Contract Duration: 1 Year
🕘 Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 8.10am–5.30pm
Join an established engineering organisation as a Safety Officer, supporting site operations and promoting a strong workplace safety culture. This role is ideal for an experienced safety professional who is confident in site inspections, risk assessments, regulatory compliance and incident prevention.
Key Responsibilities
Workplace Safety & Site Inspections
Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with workplace safety and health (WSH) requirements.
Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards, unsafe acts and unsafe working conditions.
Work closely with project teams, contractors and subcontractors to maintain safe working practices.
Implement and maintain the Safety and Health Management System at project sites.
Risk Assessment & Regulatory Compliance
Prepare, review and endorse Risk Assessments (RA) and ensure appropriate control measures are implemented.
Monitor compliance with statutory, regulatory, client and company safety requirements.
Identify safety violations and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
Follow up on findings from inspections, audits, incidents and risk assessments.
Incident Management & Safety Training
Investigate workplace incidents, accidents and near misses, and recommend follow-up actions.
Coordinate and maintain records for safety orientations, toolbox meetings, inspections and training.
Conduct safety briefings and support workplace safety training programmes.
Prepare safety reports, statutory forms and other relevant documentation.
Respond to site safety emergencies and provide support when required.
