Sales Engineer (Automation / Motion Control) – North
Summary
The Sales Engineer will identify new business opportunities and manage existing accounts for automation and motion control solutions. The role involves conducting technical presentations, preparing proposals, and collaborating with internal engineering teams to meet sales targets.

Job Responsibilities:
- Develop new business opportunities by identifying and approaching potential customers.
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts through regular engagement and follow-up.
- Understand customers' technical requirements, applications and challenges, and recommend suitable engineering solutions.
- Conduct product presentations, technical discussions and customer meetings.
- Work closely with internal Application Engineers, Business Development and Regional Sales teams to develop sales opportunities.
- Prepare quotations, proposals and technical information based on customer requirements.
- Follow up on leads, enquiries and quotations to convert opportunities into sales.
- Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities within existing accounts.
- Maintain accurate customer and opportunity information in the CRM system.
- Monitor market trends, customer requirements and competitor activities.
- Attend customer visits, exhibitions and industry events when required.
- Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to overall business growth.
Job Requirements:
- Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant sales, application engineering or technical customer-facing experience is preferred.
- Experience in automation, motion control, semiconductor equipment, precision engineering, robotics or industrial equipment will be advantageous.
- Training will be provided for those lesser/without experience.
