Sales Engineer - Canberra
Your Role:
- Work closely with our Sales Team in providing recommendations on appropriate Check Point solutions to meet our customer’s cyber security needs.
- Provide insight and advice to potential and existing customers based on Check Point's best practice, applying your skills and knowledge in our industry to drive the optimal outcome.
- Lead the technical engagement, addressing technical questions, providing consultative advice and managing key tasks such as Proof-of-Value and Cyber Workshops
- Demonstrate our full portfolio of solutions that help keep organizations safe from threats and protect their operations and information
- Drive meetings with potential and existing customers to identify their problems and provide appropriate solutions
- Support the responses to RFI's & RFP's with the relevant bid teams
- Engage and support the enablement of key partners and customers on the latest Cyber Security Technologies.
- Active participation in cyber security events
- Keep timely update of activity reports and ensure timely communication with the Manager.
We are looking for people who:
- Have a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent Industry experience
- Have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant engineering and pre-sales experience
- Strong Network Security knowledge required, with hands-on experience in Check Point Security Gateways or a comparable solution
- Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Have good understanding of typical customer architecture and cyber needs
- Are exposed to network, cloud and End Point security is advantageous
- Have a bring a customer first mindset and experience in working with large to medium enterprise organizations
- Have the ability to create an end-to-end security solution for a customer’s environment
- Have excellent communication and presentation skills
- As part of a distributed team of people, a strong sense of teamwork is required.
- Relevant certifications highly preferred, e.g. CCNP / CISSP/ CCSA / CCSE
- Fluent in English - written and verbal
- An active Australian Federal Government security clearance is preferred, or the ability to obtain one upon appointment.
