Summary
Field sales engineer role for hybrid and off-grid solar systems in the Calicut/Kozhikode territory: site visits, techno-commercial proposals and BOQs, negotiation, order handover, and tender/subsidy documentation (ANERT, KSEB). Needs an Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical diploma or B.Tech and 2-5 years of technical sales experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate, qualify and convert leads for Hybrid and Off-Grid solar systems in the Calicut territory maintain a
healthy enquiry and follow-up pipeline
• Conduct site visits, collect load and site data, and understand customer requirements and budgets
. • Prepare techno-commercial proposals, BOQs and quotations in coordination with the technical team, within approved pricing and margins.
• Present proposals to customers, negotiate terms and close orders in line with company policy.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, consultants, electricians, contractors and channel partners in the territory.
• Support documentation for government schemes and tenders (ANERT, KSEB, NREDCAP, KEL) and customer approvals as applicable.
• Hand over confirmed orders to the projects/execution team with complete documentation, and follow up on advance and payment collections.
• Track competitor activity, pricing and market trends in the territory and report to the reporting manager.
• Maintain accurate records, documents and MIS reports; submit periodic reports to the reporting manager.
Requirements
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
• Diploma / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering (B.Tech preferred).
• 2–5 years of technical sales experience, preferably in solar, power or energy storage; freshers with strong aptitude may be considered.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel within the territory.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
• Good knowledge of solar PV system components, sizing and subsidy/net-metering procedures.
• Proposal and BOQ preparation; MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint.
• Communication, negotiation and customer-handling skills in Malayalam and English.
