We are looking for a Sales Designer who can combine creativity, client management and strong sales ability to grow our residential business.

The Role

As a Sales Designer, you will be responsible for taking residential clients from the initial enquiry through consultation, design, quotation and project closing.

This is a highly client-facing and sales-oriented role. You should enjoy meeting homeowners, understanding their needs, developing design concepts and, most importantly, turning opportunities into profitable projects.

You will work closely with the HomeShake management, design and project teams to ensure that what is sold to the client can be delivered to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

• Respond to and follow up on incoming residential enquiries and leads.

• Meet clients at their homes, our showroom or other suitable locations.

• Understand clients' lifestyle, budget, design preferences and renovation requirements.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients.

• Present HomeShake's carpentry, renovation, bespoke furniture and Oppolia solutions.

• Prepare and present quotations and proposals.

• Negotiate with clients and convert opportunities into confirmed projects.

• Follow up consistently from first enquiry through contract signing.

• Identify opportunities for additional sales and upgrades.

• Build your own client pipeline through referrals, networking and business development activities.

Design & Consultation

• Develop practical and attractive design concepts based on client requirements.

• Prepare space-planning ideas, mood boards, layouts and basic design presentations.

• Recommend appropriate materials, finishes, hardware and carpentry solutions.

• Advise clients on practical considerations such as functionality, durability, maintenance and budget.

• Translate clients' ideas into commercially viable renovation and carpentry solutions.

Project Handover

• Work with the internal design and project teams after the sale to ensure a smooth handover.

• Ensure quotations and agreed specifications are clear and accurate.

• Communicate client requirements clearly to the production and project teams.

• Maintain good client relationships throughout the project.

Commercial Responsibilities

• Work towards agreed monthly and quarterly sales targets.

• Keep accurate records of leads, quotations, follow-ups and sales.

• Monitor your sales pipeline and conversion rate.

• Take ownership of your own sales performance.

What We Are Looking For

• 2–5 years of experience in interior design, renovation, carpentry, furniture or a related sales/design environment.

• Proven ability to deal directly with residential clients.

• Strong sales and negotiation skills.

• Good understanding of residential renovation and/or carpentry in Singapore.

• Ability to understand floor plans and develop practical design solutions.

• Good knowledge of materials, finishes, cabinetry and interior detailing.

• Strong communication and presentation skills.

• Commercially minded, with an understanding that good design must also work within the client's budget.

• Self-motivated and comfortable working towards sales targets.

• Able to manage multiple leads and follow-ups independently.

• Good attention to detail.

• Positive, professional and customer-oriented attitude.

• Able to work independently while collaborating with designers, project managers and carpentry teams.

Advantageous

The following would be an advantage:

• Existing experience in Singapore's renovation or interior design industry.

• Speaking Mandarin is Appreciated

• Experience selling renovation or carpentry projects.

• Experience preparing quotations and closing renovation contracts.

• Knowledge of HDB, condominium and landed residential projects.

• Familiarity with 3D design or interior design software.

• Experience selling premium or bespoke products.

• Existing sales track record.
  

Compensation

Basic salary + commission based on sales performance.

The compensation structure is designed so that strong performers can significantly increase their monthly income through successful project sales.

There is no fixed ceiling on earning potential for high-performing sales designers.
