SALES OPERATIONS MANAGER

Job Summary:
The Sales Operations Manager plays a critical role in driving sales effectiveness, operational excellence, and commercial execution across the organization. Reporting to the Vice President, Sales, this position leads the development and administration of key sales processes, reporting tools, CRM systems, forecasting activities, and sales enablement resources.
The Sales Operations Manager partners closely with sales leadership, Finance, IT, Marketing, Customer Service, and Human Resources to improve productivity, maintain data accuracy, support strategic decision-making, and enhance the overall effectiveness of the commercial organization. This role serves as a key business partner to the sales team by providing actionable insights, process improvements, and operational support that enable profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Reporting & Analytics
- Partner with IT and Data Analytics teams to develop, maintain, and continuously improve sales reporting tools, dashboards, and performance metrics.
- Analyze sales performance data and provide insights that support business decisions and growth initiatives.
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and accessibility of sales reporting across the organization.
Business Reviews & Forecasting
- Lead the preparation and coordination of Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs).
- Maintain sales forecasts, pipeline reporting, and performance scorecards.
- Support sales leadership by providing timely and accurate analysis of sales performance trends and opportunities.
CRM Administration & Sales Systems
- Administer and optimize the company's CRM and sales pipeline management tools.
- Maintain data integrity, reporting accuracy, and user adoption.
- Provide ongoing training, support, and process guidance to commercial team members.
- Partner with IT and business stakeholders to identify and implement system enhancements and automation opportunities.
Sales Enablement
- Develop and manage tools, resources, workflows, and content that improve sales productivity and process consistency.
- Manage and organize commercial content and resources across Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and other business platforms.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve the user experience for the sales organization.
Annual Operating Plan & Budget Management
- Develop and maintain annual planning and budgeting tools that support the sales organization's strategic objectives.
- Partner with sales leadership on goal setting, forecasting, budgeting, business planning, and presentation development.
- Track performance against annual operating plans and provide analytical support as needed.
Sales Communications & Recognition Programs
- Coordinate internal and external sales communications.
- Manage sales recognition programs, incentive tracking, contests, and team engagement initiatives.
- Support leadership communications related to business performance and commercial priorities.
Meetings & Events Management
- Plan and coordinate customer meetings, sales meetings, leadership meetings, conferences, and commercial events.
- Manage venue selection, vendor negotiations, registration processes, logistics, and meeting support activities.
- Assist with agenda development and presentation coordination.
Commercial Data Management
- Own the accuracy and maintenance of customer assignments, representative assignments, territory data, and related commercial records.
- Maintain sales hierarchy and account relationship information within applicable systems.
- Ensure commercial data is accurate, current, and aligned with organizational requirements.
Buying Groups & Industry Associations
- Coordinate buying group memberships, renewals, conference participation, and related activities.
- Develop customer and market reports to support sales planning and customer engagement efforts.
Commercial Onboarding
- Partner with Human Resources and business leaders to deliver an effective onboarding experience for new commercial team members.
- Coordinate equipment requests, system access, reporting requirements, training schedules, and onboarding activities.
Organizational Support
- Maintain sales organization charts, territory maps, team rosters, and other critical commercial documentation.
- Coordinate designated sales approval processes and commercial workflows.
- Support special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned.
- Identify opportunities to improve commercial processes, reporting capabilities, system utilization, and organizational effectiveness.
- Lead or participate in projects that enhance sales productivity and operational excellence.
