Salesforce Data & Platform Engineer
Summary
Long-term freelance/contract role for a senior Salesforce engineer to build the core platform and foundation architecture of a major Salesforce transformation in financial services. Day-to-day: FSC data modelling, security/sharing design, Informatica/MDM integrations, data migration, and high-volume asynchronous Apex. Hybrid, 2 days on-site per week in the Netherlands.

We’re looking for a Senior Salesforce Data & Platform Engineer to join the Foundation Team of a major Salesforce transformation within financial services.
You’ll work on the core Salesforce platform and architecture supporting multiple delivery squads, with a strong focus on Financial Services Cloud (FSC), data, integrations, security and large-scale Apex development.
What you’ll be doing
- Design and develop against the Salesforce FSC Data Model
- Work with Financial Accounts, Financial Goals, Arrangements and Household/Business Groups
- Design complex security, sharing and visibility models
- Work with Role Hierarchies, Territory Management and programmatic sharing
- Build enterprise integrations and work with Informatica / MDM
- Support large-scale data migration and high-volume processing
- Develop asynchronous Apex solutions
- Ensure platform scalability, security and performance
- Collaborate across multiple delivery squads, Data Governance and CI/CD teams
What we’re looking for
- Strong Salesforce Platform Engineering & Apex experience
- Deep Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC) knowledge
- Strong understanding of the FSC data model
- Experience with Salesforce security, sharing and visibility
- Experience with Territory Management and Role Hierarchies
- Enterprise integration and data migration experience
- Experience with Informatica / MDM
- Strong asynchronous/high-volume Apex experience
- Experience within large-scale Salesforce programmes
- Financial services/banking experience highly desirable
- Genesis connectors highly desirable
