Salesforce Technical Architect

Summary

Design and lead Salesforce Field Service implementations, integrating with ERP and billing systems, and mentor teams on scalable architecture and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end Salesforce Field Service implementations, including architecture design across Work Orders, Assets, Scheduling, Mobility, Inventory, and Technician Enablement.
  • Architect scalable, API-driven integrations between Salesforce and ERP, billing, CPQ/Revenue Cloud, asset systems, and middleware platforms (MuleSoft, Boomi, OIC), ensuring clear system-of-record alignment.
  • Define and govern technical architecture standards, including clean-core principles, data models, event-driven frameworks, integration sequencing, and DevOps strategy.
  • Drive pre-sales solutioning: lead RFP responses, architecture design, effort estimation, risk identification, assumption documentation, demos, and executive client presentations.
  • Provide strategic advisory to clients on Field Service operating models, workforce optimization, automation, AI-readiness, and enterprise service transformation roadmaps.
  • Lead and mentor distributed development and integration teams, establishing code quality standards, architecture review governance, and issue resolution frameworks.
  • Serve as escalation point for complex technical issues across integrations, performance optimization, and cross-system dependencies.
  • Stay current on Salesforce innovations (Field Service, Platform Events, Data Cloud, AI capabilities) and translate roadmap updates into practical, scalable client solutions.
  • Develop reusable accelerators, integration patterns, and solution frameworks to strengthen go-to-market differentiation and delivery efficiency.
  • Take full ownership of technical delivery outcomes — aligning business process design, architecture integrity, and long-term scalability.

Required skills/qualifications

  • Overall experience of 10+ years with a minimum of 4 years serving as a Subject Matter Expert/Leader for Salesforce Core or other capability technical implementations.

  • Excellent knowledge of Salesforce ecosystem
  • Experience using Salesforce data tools;
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce SDLC.

  • Software architecture design using object-oriented and modularity principles;
  • Experience with working on complex functional software projects that require a deep understanding of the application logic and dependencies;
  • Technical documentation writing skills;
  • Design patterns knowledge and experience;
  • Basic knowledge of project management;
  • Experience with interviewing and on-boarding of engineers;
