Sap Eam Functional Consultant

Role Summary

The SAP EAM Consultant will implement, configure, and support SAP Enterprise Asset Management solutions to enable effective maintenance planning, asset lifecycle management, and operational reliability for enterprise clients. The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical teams to deliver scalable and compliant asset management solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Responsibilities

• Lead and support SAP EAM implementations and rollouts across maintenance and asset-intensive industries
• Gather and analyze business requirements related to:
• Asset Master Data
• Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
• Breakdown Maintenance
• Refurbishment & Shutdown Management
• Configure SAP EAM components including:
• Technical Objects (Equipment, Functional Locations)
• Maintenance Plans & Task Lists
• Notifications & Work Orders
• Measuring Points & Counters
• Support end-to-end maintenance processes from notification to order settlement
• Work closely with MM, FI, PM, and PS modules for:
• Spare parts management
• Cost tracking and settlement
• Capitalization and depreciation of assets
• Prepare functional specifications and coordinate with ABAP teams for enhancements
• Support UAT, cutover, go-live, and hypercare activities
• Provide post-implementation support and continuous improvement recommendations

Integration & Advanced Capabilities (Good to Have)

Required Skills & Qualifications

Mandatory Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) / Plant Maintenance (PM).
• Proven track record of delivering at least one end-to-end SAP EAM implementation project, covering the full project lifecycle.
• Solid understanding of maintenance and asset management business processes, with the ability to align solutions to business needs.
• Skilled in engaging with business stakeholders, gathering and analyzing requirements, translating them into effective SAP solutions, and supporting end-user training and documentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong command of the English language, both written and verbal.
• Experience in writing functional specifications and supporting testing cycles

Role Summary

The SAP MDG Technical Lead will lead the technical design, development, and support of SAP MDG Supplier/Business Partner solutions, covering data models, mappings, roles, workflow, replication, and data-quality controls.

The role requires strong hands-on SAP MDG technical expertise, with experience across ABAP development, BAdIs, BRFplus, workflow, data replication, integrations, and SAP S/4HANA/ECC environments.

This role is suited for professionals who can own technical architecture and development across SAP MDG implementation, rollout, enhancement, and production support programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Own technical architecture and development for SAP MDG Supplier/Business Partner solutions
• Design or extend MDG data models, UI configurations, validations, derivations, and change-request processes
• Develop and troubleshoot:
• ABAP enhancements
• BAdIs
• BRFplus rules
• SAP workflow logic
• Configure and support data replication using:
• DRF
• APIs
• IDocs
• Web services
• Manage mappings, including key mapping and value mapping
• Design and support integration with:
• SAP S/4HANA
• SAP ECC
• External platforms
• Resolve issues related to roles, authorizations, workflow, data quality, and replication
• Guide technical testing, performance analysis, transport/release activities, and production stabilization
• Provide code and design reviews, technical documentation, and mentoring to support resources

Required Skills & Experience

• 7-10 years of overall SAP experience, including 5+ years of hands-on SAP MDG technical experience
• Experience in at least two SAP MDG implementation/rollout projects
• Strong SAP MDG-S / Business Partner technical expertise
• Hands-on experience with:
• ABAP OO
• BAdI / Enhancement Framework
• BRFplus
• SAP Workflow
• Strong knowledge of:
• MDG data models
• Change requests
• Staging / Active Area
• UI configuration
• Experience with DRF, key/value mapping, duplicate checks, and data replication
• Good understanding of BP/CVI and supplier master integration in S/4HANA
• Experience with OData/APIs, IDocs, or web-service-based MDG integrations
