About

The SAP Product Configuration Lead (Finance & Controlling) is responsible for translating complex business requirements into scalable, high-quality SAP solutions. The role leads and configures solution design, system configuration, and specification development in close collaboration with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions aligned with enterprise standards. The position ensures solution stability, maintainability, regulatory compliance, and data integrity across integrated SAP landscapes, leveraging deep functional and cross-module expertise.

This position requires flexibility to work on US times and flexibility to travel abroad when needed.

Responsibilities

• Translate finance and controlling requirements into functional and technical specifications documentation and effort estimation, promoting process simplification and standardization in collaboration with solution architects.
• Ensure alignment of functional and technical requirements across workstreams to support overall business objectives, actively participating in stakeholder workshops to define required capabilities.
• Configure SAP S/4HANA FI/CO (Universal Journal, New GL, Document Splitting, Asset Accounting, etc.) and third-party add-ons/integrated components, ensuring adherence to approved design and architecture principles.
• Lead cross-module integrations between FI/CO and SAP modules, and Treasury, proactively resolving integration issues.
• Design, validate, and oversee interfaces, coordinate testing, and drive resolution of interface defects.
• Ensure governance and consistency of master and transactional data (chart of accounts, cost centers, profit centers, cost objects, assets, tax codes) across SAP and transactional data quality.
• Share knowledge and provide guidance to team members, foster learning and capability building.
• Plan and execute unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring solution readiness for production.
• Provide training, guidance, and functional support to key users and business stakeholders to enable successful adoption.

Requirements

• 5+ years SAP S/4HANA FI/CO configuration experience.
• Strong capability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into effective, scalable SAP solutions.
• Extensive experience in SAP configuration collaboration and customization for FI/CO delivering solutions aligned with business and operational needs.
• Proven expertise in business process mapping, analysis, and optimization for FICO.
• Solid track record across the full SAP project lifecycle with business, functional, and technical design, build, testing, and go-live support.
• Deep understanding of integration touchpoints between SAP S/4HANA modules and third-party add-ons.
• Strong proficiency in producing high-quality business, functional, and technical documentation.
• University degree in a relevant area or equivalent work experience.
• English language proficiency.
